1ST draft ukulele song untitled

Never been in love or loved

Struggled to stay afloat

Can any man be so perfect

As a series of musical notes?

Something primal making it sing

Slapping bongos or tambourine

Skin aglow, feeling the sting

(Fantasy in chords of blue

How will I ever find you)

Flavor of a good man

Like eating chocolate ice cream

As taste buds revived deliciously

In a piquant dream

Something primal making it sing

Blowing horns hot as a thermal spring

Blood pumping, riding an upswing

(Fantasy of honeyed kiss

Craving a present life of bliss)

Longing for a reality

Consigning all the nightmares

Back to the dreaded past

Of implacable, ghosts of despair

Something primal making it sing

Fast picking of guitar’s heart strings

Spiraling out on strong beating wings

(Fantasy of love in the now

Intending to live the myth somehow)

      1. Thanks for the video. Israel Kamakawiwo’ole was an incredible musician. I have his chords for Rainbow and Wonderful World and as you say, he is awesomely inspiring!

  1. Aww! Such a sweet sweet song poem. It was really beautiful. The rhyming was amazing – my favourite part of the poem. It had a good flow, and the vocab usage was really good. The emotian is portrayed brilliantly. An excellent job! Keep it up!

      1. Very true! You’re right!
Although I’m new to poems writing, I love the experience of that, especially when the inspiration flows and it feels as if the words are writing themselves. I call this a state of ‘enlivenment’, Because I feel so present and alive.

    1. Thanks, Grandtrines, so kind! Just read your “About” and find it fascinating. I was unable to enlarge the natal chart by clicking on it but I do have an old computer that is very ornery. I, of course, enjoy all your metaphysical (etc.) reblogs and am looking forward to the music lyrics!

      1. Thanks for letting me know! Usually, what should happen is that it should open in a new tab. Sometimes, though, WordPress gets farkled (not sure why; hackers?). Thanks, again, for letting me know.
