On a sunny morning

Little Jimmy Brown is born

While Eleanor Rigby scoops up her wedding rice

Jimmy Brown marries his true love

Father McKenzie darns his hole-y socks

As Jimmy takes a running jump into heaven

Eleanor later following his footsteps

Life in song

Born. Wed. Dead.

  1. Yes, I know those two songs very well, the first as really, really corny, the second pretty much tells it like it is. Always liked Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles. I like your own version too, good mix.

    1. Thanks, I like patterns and structure and was thinking Rigby reminded me of another old song. Evidently, Three Bells was an old French song, even sung by Edith Piaf. Now there’s an interesting woman…

      1. Yes, Edith Piaf had an interesting life, a survivor if there ever was one. Powerful voice. I think of all her songs I like the tempo of “Milord” best, and the songs lyrics are priceless. I didn’t know that about “Three Bells.” Wiki: It was based on the 1945 French language song “Les trois cloches” by Jean Villard Gilles and Marc Herrand.
