AVIAN CONFLICT

Tripping over signs and symbols

Politically powerful predator

Ripped apart a mother

Seeking food for the family

Feathers plucked instantly

Lonesome mate cries out

As she is flown

To another family’s nest

But not as a dinner guest

Food chain inexorably cruel…

      1. I put my bird feeders up against a large barberry shrub. It has very sharp needles, but the songbirds are small enough where they can perch without being pinched. A larger bird would find the experience much worse. 🙂

  1. Googled it and looks great but I’m in Zone 10 and they only do well until Zone 7. Still, I’ll see if there are similar ones in Florida. We do have lots of cacti so there may be something I can do. Thanks, Rob!
