FADING FAST

Once upon
A cloudless morning
So like
A choir of angels
High soprano
Purity
Love
Optimism
Now stuck
Between the ranges
Not contralto
Not even
Mezzo-soprano
Frozen between
Desolated tones
Shuttered twilight
Discordant echo
Bruised and bloody time
Unable to heal
All wounds…

    1. Not at all, Sha’Tara. I’m about to comment on your post and I feel the same way you do. Sadness, especially this time of year, but it will definitely pass, at least temporarily…

      1. Ah, good. The sadness from “the overwhelming burden of compassion as Phil Huston commented on ~burning woman~ blog. That is not a debilitating feeling though, it’s just our willingness to share in the general and deep malaise of this time.
