INK

Secret gift
Given in childhood
Ink in a pen
Brain and hand
Sync
Solving crosswords in ink
Whether correct or not
Writing music on blank scores
Whether melodious or not
Meticulously sketching
Whether in perspective or not
Each life has a story plot
Crosswords, poems, music, art
Will be correct one day
Whether a clear or rocky pathway
Because ink in a pen
Is mightier than the sword
Extracting the warrior
Hiding inside that
Little girl or boy
Ink and paper
The most perfect toy…

  1. An uplifting retrospective, Clarissa, that somehow connects the two-dimensional page with three-dimensional reality. I suppose it’s to be expected that I support the message: the importance of what is on paper, the fantasy, the dreams. Perhaps in a way it does make our plot correct. Nicely done.

    1. Thank you, Steve! I hardly owned toys when a child but there was always an unending supply of blank paper and pens. I am so glad to do little creations but mostly happy to have an amazing supply of incredible worlds created by you and those I follow on WP!
