Maybe dragons were
Surviving pterodactyls
Fire breathing?
Apocryphal, possible
Like migratory birds
Perhaps “wintering”
Down South
Missing the
Slamming of the meteors
In the North
Revenge against the
North-South Polarity
Where the upper compass point
Conquers the lower one
Myth?
I like creating scenarios
Imagining those flying dinosaurs
To be like today’s Snow Birds
Coming out of the northern frost
Onto our sunny southern beaches
Imagining those flying dinosaurs
Surviving until heroes
Like Beowulf and St. George
Risked their lives
To kill those noxious destroyers
But then,
Other cultures
Like the Chinese,
Have elevated them
So what is the truth
Not the myth
About the dragons
That we know today
As pterodactyls
My favorite dinosaur
